This pair of antique Louis XVI Directoire style distressed painted armchairs fauteuils with cane seats and backs is perfect for you and your home and are a lovely example of high quality furniture from the 19th century! If you look at the photos provided you will see the attention to detail within the carved frames as well as the fine cane backs and seats, which do not have any holes or breaks. The pair is accompanied by upholstered cushions that can be removed if you desire. This pair is perfect for any entryway, living room, bedroom or office and is bound to bring that little extra sense of character and class into your home. One nice thing about this pair is their ability to be paired with a variety of other styles including, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Mid Century Modern and Contemporary! The chairs are in good antique/vintage condition with light surface scratches and minor finish loss/distressing to the frames but otherwise good condition. Upholstery does have some staining as shown.
